Statement of inquiry: Advertisement as a form of communication have evolved through time and space to influence audience's perspective.

I am a student of technology. as part of the MYP in term 1, we are using the software DTP (Desktop Publishing). Desktop publishing enables us to create unique flyers, posters, newsletters, magazines, brochures both professionally and for school purposes.

As part of the Digital Design MYP project, I have chosen a flyer. My target audience is 12 year olds. I can understand what I need for the flyer because I am learning things like this in my Digital Design class. The flyer is one of the easiest ways to express your creativity to everybody around you. It is also not very expensive if you want good quality and DTP is one of the easiest ways to make it and I am learning it. I also feel that creating an advertisement in the form of a flyer instead of some other type (like brochures etc.). If I were to make an ad concentrating on something specific, I can use my strengths to get more of the targeted audience. The only disadvantage of a flyer is it would be very hard to create the perfect advertisement because my peers would somehow tell me some disadvantages about this flyer so that would be one disadvantage. I know that I can finish my work on time because I have done that in the near past, actually now that I think about I have done it every time as I don’t want bad grades. In conclusion, I would say that if I were to choose a flyer I would make a fantastic flyer that would have all of the skills I have learned in class. If I target my audience and think like this, I will get good in the criteria that I need in my Digital Design Class.

I choose the 12 year old because I can understand how they work and make a good flyer that will make them think about the flyer. I intend to make a flyer for Digital Design MYP Project. I know how to find the commands I need to make in Publisher. In the video editing I have already made pre-recorded footage about playing drums with music in the background. I will be using Publisher 2010 for making my flyer and IMovie to make my ad video. I am using Publisher because it is the software I have been learning for more than 6 weeks and I have understood it a lot.  I am using IMovie because I have used it to make things like random videos about myself. I am going to talk about the the Drums Company and how good we are. I will take many cuts to make sure my ad video is fantastic. The flyer will show everything about the Drums Company.

I like making flyers because they can become so much more eye catching than other forms.I loved doing this task because I found out a lot of information about National Day. I have also chosen to do a flyer for my project so I get practice when i do flyer tasks so I can get a head-start and know how to make a flyer. I find National Day an interesting topic so when I researched about National Day I learned new things that I did not know before. So all in one i have learned skills such as making things more eye-catching as well as making them contain more and better information.

In my flyer i want to use a good font large enough for many people to see the writing. when i put images i want to use a a photo to cover the whole page and one to take some part. This flyer should be a colorful and superb flyer.

i changed a lot of my flyer because it started looking way more better than i imagined it. i tried to make the flyer so most people would love to join this drum company i used words so that the drum classes would sound fun. In conclusion i think i made a good final flyer

Reflection:

Andrija evaluated my blog and said it was done very well. He found out that the flyer was done on word. I thought i can improve a bit more by asking somebody to help me with the flyer. Once you scroll down a bit you find my project. I first started off with my idea of the flyer I was going to make. I know I should write a reflection after my work because the reflection help me a lot as I can get better marks. I know I have all the things as my peer says. I know I have a easily identifiable posts for my blog. My final idea is that my whole blog looks very good as a whole.
